CosmicExpress, week of 19 November

Posted on Nov 19th, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 19 November. We start the week with the Moon approaching the Scorpio New Moon on the 20th. It’s time to release those things you no longer need and to prepare to launch new projects with a new lunar cycle.

(On a personal note: I apologize for having missed the past two weekly updates. My partner, John, and I traveled to see family two weeks ago. Last week John exhibited his work at a nearby art show. Do check out shots of his work on our personal blog (http://www.tomsidebottom.com), or on his professional website (http://www.johnsawdust.com).)

Theme transits this week: There are several planetary configurations that last most all week. We continue to experience the Jupiter / Saturn square for a week or two more, however. The Jupiter/Saturn cycle has strong business and societal implications: we’re coming down to earth from being overly inflated. Jupiter/Saturn asks us to re-evaluate our relationship to our material possessions and our overall expectations about the world. It’s gaining a philosophy of life from experience. Experience may not be glamorous or exciting, but it’s vital to stay grounded.

Mercury trines Uranus all week. Mercury is now direct but moving slowly, so we’ll feel the inspiration that Uranus provides to our mental activities all week. This is the light of genius, but it’s softer and easier to handle than a hard aspect between Mercury and Uranus. Expect novel thinking, and stretch your own limiting notions about the world. Write a blog or a journal, and get behind what’s been happening. It’s time to open to new approaches.

Sun square Uranus beginning mid-week. This is the harder side of Uranus, the cosmic magician/roller-coaster. Expect the unexpected: sudden shifts in physical energy (both higher and lower energy than normal), sudden new demands, and a fair dose of inspiration. Unlike the Mercury contact this one can be physically taxing, It’s really prudent to avoid pitching yourself over the side of the roller coaster, so avoid accidents and carelessness. I strongly recommend rhythmic movement: yoga, taijiquan, moving meditation. Avoid excessive chemical stimulants: I’d forgo Starbucks this week.

Mars squares Saturn and Neptune all week. The contact is rather wide, which means it’s not likely to be too difficult. Mars is the cosmic engine; Saturn the cosmic brake; Neptune the cosmic fog. Combine all three and you’ll see that some stagnant energy could be in for a stay. With the Sun/Uranus going as well I’d guess we’re in for some mixed messages energy-wise all week. Expect physical energy to be a bit lower than normal, so anticipate Uranus’s crazy demands and add your own time outs to avoid excessive strain. Good nutrition and plenty of rest are absolute essentials.

On the 19th
we start the week with the Moon in Scorpio approaches the New Moon tomorrow. Release those things you no longer need.

20 Nov
:  Today’s the Scorpio New Moon: a time of inward seeking and understanding. That’s what’s so crazy about this time of year: cosmically we’re called inward, but our holidaze work against us. Plan for introspection if you can around the clutter of the time. The extreme accent on Scorpio (five planets!) makes me underscore that last advice.

21 Nov: The Moon clears the planetary traffic jam in Scorpio as it passes Venus in Sagittarius. Open emotionally a bit today.

22 Nov: The Moon conjoins Pluto today. There’s the possibility for emotional control issues and obsessive behavior to surface - keep your perspective.

23 Nov: The Moon out of contact with other planets today. Expect a bit of a breather - just in time for Thanksgiving.

24 Nov: The Moon sextiles Mercury and Mars today, opening communication channels for feelings with others. Don’t forget the warmer side of feelings, and let those around you know how you feel.

25 Nov:  The Moon sextiles the Sun and Jupiter today, continuing yesterday’s good feeling fest. Take that breather you’ve been needing, and ignore the holidaze just long enough to realize all the gifts you’ve received. Then give something back to the Universe - and don’t forget to play!

CosmicExpress, week of 26 November

Posted on Nov 26th, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 26 November. We start the week with the Moon approaching the First Quarter - and it's an intense First Quarter, too. Get with your program for the month: move on your projects and get creative.

Theme transits this week: There are several planetary configurations that last most all week. This week we end the long Jupiter / Saturn square. Remember that the Jupiter/Saturn cycle has strong business and societal implications: we’re coming down to earth from being overly inflated. As this influence wanes remember the lessons we’ve learned over the past few months. Our problems are too much - that’s Jupiter. Think about how you can continue to simplify your life and moderate your needs.

The Sun continues to square Uranus this week - and Venus is square Uranus most of the week, too. This is the harder side of Uranus, the cosmic magician/roller-coaster. Expect the unexpected: sudden shifts in physical energy (both higher and lower energy than normal), sudden new demands, and a fair dose of inspiration. Breakthroughs in relationships - both things you like to hear and things you might not like hearing - are possible. Artistic work can be a real high, so expose yourself to art! Sun / Uranus can be physically taxing, while Venus / Uranus is always exciting, It’s really prudent to avoid pitching yourself over the side of the roller coaster, so avoid accidents and carelessness. I strongly recommend rhythmic movement: yoga, taijiquan, moving meditation. Avoid excessive chemical stimulants: I’d forgo Starbucks this week. Instead, check out music you don’t know, and visit an art museum or gallery with someone you love.

Mars squares Saturn all week. The contact is rather wide, which means it’s not likely to be too difficult. Mars is the cosmic engine; Saturn the cosmic brake. Combine them and you have the recipe for stagnant energy could be in for a stay.

On the 26th
we start the week with the Moon in Aquarius conjoins Neptune. Open to the little mystic inside your head and spend some time alone. Communication is likely to be a bit foggy, so give yourself and others a break. Don’t judge too quickly and keep an open mind. Drugs and alcohol can pose a real problem; keep things under control.

27 Nov:  Today’s the First Quarter from the Moon in Aquarius squaring Jupiter in Scorpio and opposing Saturn in Leo - it’s T-Square time again. Emotional pressure can be a little high, so figure out how to let some of the steam off - exercise, a nice walk, maybe a little yoga. Don’t give in to Saturn’s worry-wort: keep your perspective.

28 Nov: The Moon clears out of the nasty T-Square and conjoins Uranus. It’s emotional roller-coaster time. Enjoy the ups and downs, and keep the volume in your head turned down a bit. Rather than getting hot and bothered, take a walk or see what the voices inside your head have to say - do a little meditating.

29 Nov: The Moon moves on to trine the Mercury / Mars / Jupiter cluster than it squared on Monday. There’s a chance for some insight about the roller-coaster ride of the past two days. Spend some time with friends and loved ones and enjoy a chance to cool your heels.

30 Nov: The Moon trines the Sun today, giving a physical energy boost. It’s another good day for time with friends and family - and take advantage of the wild Uranus energy that combines with the Sun and Venus.

1 Dec: The Moon forms a Grand Trine with Saturn and Pluto today - we’ve been feeling these about once a month for some time now. It’s a great period for introspection and for serious conversations with those you love. Open your heart about what’s deepest inside, and prepare to do some listening.

2 Dec:  The Moon sextiles Uranus today, giving us a light ending to a week that started out on an intense note. Open yourself to new experiences, and don’t forget that art museum and music exploration!
