CosmicExpress, week of 3 December

Posted on Dec 3rd, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 3 December. We start the week with the Moon approaching the Full Moon in Taurus / Scorpio New Moon on the 4th. Keep pressing forward to achieve your work this week, and prepare to shift into harvest mode by mid-week.

Theme transits this week: There are several planetary configurations that last most all week. The Sun continues to square Uranus this week until Saturday. This is the harder side of Uranus, the cosmic magician/roller-coaster. Expect the unexpected: sudden shifts in physical energy (both higher and lower energy than normal), sudden new demands, and a fair dose of inspiration. Breakthroughs in relationships - both things you like to hear and things you might not like hearing - are possible. It’s really prudent to avoid pitching yourself over the side of the roller coaster, so avoid accidents and carelessness. I strongly recommend rhythmic movement: yoga, taijiquan, moving meditation. Avoid excessive chemical
stimulants: I’d forgo Starbucks again this week.

Mercury and Mars together square Saturn until Saturday. The contact is rather wide, which means it’s not likely to be too difficult. Mercury is the cosmic communicator; Mars is the cosmic engine; Saturn the cosmic brake. Combine them and you have the recipe for stagnant energy that could be in for a stay. Mercury / Saturn can be very productive in mental work, however, and the added Mars energy could give us the drive to stick with tiresome tasks until they’re done. With the Sun/Uranus going as well I’d guess we’re in for some mixed messages energy-wise all week. Expect physical energy to be a bit lower than normal, so anticipate Uranus’s crazy demands and add your own time outs to avoid excessive strain. Good nutrition and plenty of rest are absolute essentials.

Venus conjoins Pluto all week. This is the passionate, obsessive planetary couple, and artistic, relationship, and control issues come to the fore. Saturn keeps our feet on the ground, though: Saturn trines Venus and Pluto at the same time. Used well this combination can produce artistic breakthroughs; let your inner Picasso out to play. Or maybe you’ll channel a little Mata Hari. Whichever you choose, keep clear about your own stuff, play responsibly, and don’t project head trips on others. This contact and the Sun / Uranus combination can promote risky behavior, so keep it on the safe side.

On the 3rd we start the week with the Moon in Taurus opposing Mercury and Mars in Scorpio and squaring Saturn in Leo - it’s T-Square time again. Emotional tensions surge right now, so figure out how to let some of the steam off - exercise, a nice walk, maybe a little yoga. Serious communicating about emotional issues may surface. Don’t give in to Saturn’s worry-wort: keep your perspective.

4 Dec:  Today’s the Full Moon as the Moon opposes both Jupiter and the Sun. This is the high energy phase of the month, and the expansion that Jupiter infuses makes it a doubly potent time. Bring your projects forward to completion as best you can.
Adding to the powerhouse is a square between the Moon and Uranus. It’s emotional roller-coaster time. Enjoy the ups and downs, and keep the volume in your head turned down a bit. Rather than getting hot and bothered, take a walk or see what the voices inside your head have to say - do a little meditating.

5 Dec:  The Moon moves on to oppose the Venus / Pluto combination that we’ve got cooking all week. This adds emotional energy to the overall romantic / obsessive combination. Keep your feelings in check - or at least remember that they’re your feelings and not necessarily shared by those you’re around.

6 Dec: The Moon moves on to trine Uranus today, giving us a lighter time and a bit of respite from the emotional high voltage we’ve been feeling the past few days. Open to new experiences and take a breather.

7 Dec: The Moon is almost completely quiet today.

8 Dec: The Moon trines Mercury and Mars today. This warms up our feeling and communicating sides and can create a lovely, intimate time. Or explore a bit of art.

9 Dec:  The Moon in Leo opposes Neptune. Open to the little mystic inside your head and spend some time alone. Communication is likely to be a bit foggy, so give yourself and others a break. Don’t judge too quickly and keep an open mind. Drugs and alcohol can pose a real problem; keep things under control.

CosmicExpress, week of 10 December

Posted on Dec 10th, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 10 December. We start the week with the Moon approaching the Third Quarter on the 12th. Now’s the time to begin harvesting your work for this lunar cycle. After the Third Quarter shift into releasing things that are no longer of importance to you.

Theme transits this week: There is one important planetary configuration that lasts most all week. Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter conjoin all week, and Uranus squares the conjunction most of the week. You’ve probably read about the big conjunction in the science section of your newspaper: you can view these three together just around dusk - it should be a great show. Astrologically we combine the communication and thought with the cosmic engine. It’s a good time to up your cell phone minutes, because the accent is on communication - and possibly on argument. Jupiter and Uranus add special twists. Uranus is the cosmic roller-coaster. Mercury and Uranus produce nervous tension - and can yield a stroke of real genius. Mars / Uranus is physical dynamism and excitement - and the possibility of wiping out in an accident. Jupiter expands the energy and provides the spark to expand into the new. Jupiter and Mercury often produce insight - or lots of verbal ramblings. Jupiter and Mars create a great time to work and to achieve.

I think this combination may be real fun. The risk is to avoid running your SUV off an icy road or doing something at a holiday party that you’ll regret in the morning. If you rein in your wilder side and keep the intense nervous energy from putting you into a frenzy, this may be an opportunity to break through some blocks that you’ve been carrying around. Do a little meditating to keep the energy smoothed out and prepare for a high voltage time.

On the 10th we start the week with the Moon in Leo conjoining Saturn in Leo. Moon / Saturn can always be a little bit down emotionally, but use the time to explore inwardly. Don’t give in to Saturn’s worry-wort: keep your perspective.

11 Dec:  Today’s the maximum energy time this week. The Moon moves to form a T-Square between the Mercury / Mars / Jupiter conjunction and Uranus. The expansion that Jupiter infuses makes it a doubly potent time. Bring your projects forward to completion as best you can.

Adding to the powerhouse is the opposition between the Moon and Uranus. It’s emotional roller-coaster time. Enjoy the ups and downs, and keep the volume in your head turned down a bit. Rather than getting hot and bothered, take a walk or see what the voices inside your head have to say - do a little meditating.

12 Dec:  The Moon moves on to square a wide conjunction between the Sun and Pluto. This adds vital energy with a twinge of obsession. Keep your feelings in check. Your desire for power may not be appreciated by those around you - or maybe they’re the ones running the power trip...

13 Dec: The Moon moves on to square Venus today. This is a lighter time and a bit of respite from the emotional high voltage we’ve been feeling the past few days. Open to new experiences and take a breather. Avoid moodiness; embrace your loved ones and roll with the intense Uranus energy.

14 Dec: The Moon trines Neptune and sextiles the big conjunction today. Now we can take a breather. It’s a great day for meditation and inner work - how about a massage?

15 Dec: The Moon sextiles the Sun, Saturn and Pluto today. The ease we felt yesterday continues but shifts to open possible achievements in work. It’s a great time to support and to strengthen the physical body.

16 Dec:  The Moon ends the week by sextiling Venus and trining Uranus. The support we’ve been feeling moves into relationship today. Explore something new with your loved ones, and prepare for invigorating support.

CosmicExpress, week of 17 December

Posted on Dec 18th, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 17 December. We start the week with the Moon approaching the New Moon in Sagittarius on the 19th, just shy of the Winter Solstice: it's the double symbol of completing both the lunar and solar cycles, and a time for release. Focus on what you no longer need; determine what's of real value to you; release the unnecessary and embrace the essential.

Theme transits this week: There is one important planetary configuration that lasts most all week.  Mars and Jupiter are slowly separating from their conjunction all week, and Uranus squares the conjunction most of the week. This is a continuation of what we felt last week; however, Mercury is out of the picture this week, so the communication angle drops away.  Jupiter and Uranus add special twists. Uranus is the cosmic roller-coaster. Mars / Uranus is physical dynamism and excitement - and the possibility of wiping out in an accident. Jupiter expands the energy and provides the spark to expand into the new. Jupiter and Mars create a great time to work and to achieve.

On the plus side, Saturn trines the whole lot. The Uranus energy can be a little freaky; Saturn helps keep us down-to-earth. I think this combination should continue to be real fun. Saturn creates the opportunity for bringing something of real value into the world, so look for chances to contribute and work. It’s a grounding influence that we need during the harried holiday season.

The Sun starts out conjunct Pluto, and as the week progresses Mercury replaces the Sun. Pluto is intensity and obsession, and Sun / Pluto is intense drive for success and achievement. Treated right, it’s a ticket to achievement. Treated wrong - and that means letting your drive for control over others take the lead - it’s a recipe for political chaos. Mercury / Pluto is intense thought, and it’s great for introspection and analysis - not so good for communications with others because power issues come to the fore. Keep your perspective!

On the 17th we start the week with the Moon in Scorpio squaring Saturn in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius. Moon / Saturn can always be a little bit down emotionally, but use the time to explore inwardly.  Neptune gives the Moon rose-colored glasses emotionally. It can be a dreamy experience, but you may feel disillusionment creeping in. Don’t give in to Saturn’s worry-wort: keep your perspective.

18 Dec:  Today’s the maximum energy time this week. The Moon moves to conjoin the Mercury / Mars / Jupiter conjunction and Uranus. The expansion that Jupiter infuses makes it a doubly potent time. Bring your projects forward to completion as best you can.
Adding to the powerhouse is the square between the Moon and Uranus. It’s emotional roller-coaster time. Enjoy the ups and downs, and keep the volume in your head turned down a bit. Rather than getting hot and bothered, take a walk or see what the voices inside your head have to say - do a little meditating.

19 Dec:  The Moon moves on to a wide conjunction between the Sun and Pluto today and tomorrow. This adds vital energy with a twinge of obsession. Keep your feelings in check. Your desire for power may not be appreciated by those around you - or maybe they’re the ones running the power trip.

20 Dec: The Moon moves on to conjoin Venus today. This is a lighter time and a bit of respite from the emotional high voltage we’ve been feeling the past few days. Open to new experiences and take a breather.

21 Dec: The Moon moves out of contact with Venus, giving us a fairly quiet day.

22 Dec: Again, the Moon makes few contacts today, giving us a quiet time to celebrate Winter’s entrance. Welcome Yule!

23 Dec:  The Moon ends the week by conjoining Neptune and sextiling the Mercury / Mars / Jupiter / Pluto grouping in Sagittarius. Moon / Neptune is the rose-colored glasses energy. Let your inner romantic come out during the holidays. Relax just a bit. Do a little meditating with music or art. Avoid excessive alcohol because Neptune accentuates their  effects. It should be an excellent time to join with family and friends - and relax!

CosmicExpress, week of 31 December

Posted on Dec 30th, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 31 December 2006. We start the week with the Moon approaching Full in Capricorn/Cancer on 3 January. It’s time to push full steam ahead with projects. After the Full Moon prepare to take the well-earned gains from this lunar cycle.

Theme transits this week: Jupiter continues to square Uranus all week. Jupiter continues to expand the cosmic roller-coaster, and provides the spark to expand into the new. Take advantage of new thinking to begin the Ne Year.

Mars sextiles Neptune and trines Saturn all week. This is a welcome change from the squares we experienced between these planets just a few months back. Mars / Saturn in favorable aspect represents hard work and diligent effort rewarded. Mars / Neptune is spiritualized energy - a strange concept, but one worth examining. Combine this with the Jupiter / Neptune energy to do some serious brain-storming to start the new year. Let Uranus lead you out of your comfort zone, and let Neptune give you help understanding your real purpose. Don’t let 2007 be a year where you just occupy space on the planet!

Sun conjoins Mercury most all week, putting the Capricorn emphasis on our thinking. This conjunction occurs frequently; its only downside is that thinking can lose perspective: we believe that everyone thinks the same way we do. The conjunction is sextile Uranus. Let the cosmic joker pop you out of fixed thinking and expose you to a new perspectives.

On the 31st we start the week with the Moon in Gemini opposed Jupiter and square Uranus. This T-Square can create a bit of nervous tension, and Uranus can create a scene. This can be an excellent time to reconnect with family and friends; just keep the top from completely escaping during your New Year’s Eve celebrations! The potential for accident is always present with Uranus aspects, so stay safe.

1 Jan
:  The Moon moves to oppose Mars, creating the possibility for emotions to run a bit hot. Keep the volume turned down emotionally and enjoy the day’s added spark.

2 Jan:  The Moon moves on to oppose Pluto today. This adds vital energy with a twinge of obsession. Keep your feelings in check. Your desire for power may not be appreciated by those around you - or maybe they’re the ones running the power trip.

3 Jan: The Moon is Full in Cancer/Capricorn today. The accent is on practical matters and on the home. Take advantage of the lunar cycle the rest of the week to begin harvesting the work you started two weeks ago when the Moon was New.

4 Jan: The Moon moves on to oppose Venus today. This is usually a lighter time - with the possibility of a little too much indulgence.

5 Jan: Again, the Moon prepares to conjoin Saturn, oppose Neptune, and trine Mars today and tomorrow. Saturn / Neptune make for problematic partners for the Moon, combining excessive imagination with the tendency to depression. Mars helps out a bit by injecting some positive physical energy. Keep your perspective today and tomorrow.

6 Jan
:  The Moon continues yesterday’s aspect with Saturn and Neptune. Check back to yesterday’s interpretation for details.
