CosmicExpress, week of 2-8 July 2006

Posted on Jul 1st, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom

Here's the weekly CosmicExpress podcast transcript. Visit us at www.cosmictiming.com to learn more about how the transits affect you personally. And check out our podcast!

We’re looking at the week beginning 2 July. The Moon is approaching the First Half in Libra. Your projects for this lunar cycle should now be well along. It’s time to push for growth: amplify your efforts to lift your work and move it forward as the Moon approaches Full in about eight days.

Theme transits this week: There are several planetary configurations that last most all week. The first we’ve seen it for about a month now: Jupiter in Scorpio square Saturn in Leo. It’s part of the very important Jupiter/Saturn cycle, which has strong business and societal implications: we’re coming down to earth from being overly inflated. Jupiter/Saturn asks us to re-evaluate our relationship to our material possessions and our overall expectations about the world. It’s gaining a philosophy of life from experience. Experience may not be glamorous or exciting, but it’s vital to stay grounded.

Mars this week moves to oppose Neptune in Aquarius, which asks us to devote our energies to spiritual work. When we work on mundane matters Neptune can fog up Mars’s intentions and energy. It’s an ideal time to back off just a bit, to look inward, and not to get frantic if things aren’t moving as quickly as you might like. I’d avoid starting new business deals right now because miscommunication can create problems later.

Venus in Gemini squares Uranus in Pisces - while Uranus forms a Grand Trine with the Sun in Cancer and Jupiter in Scorpio. Uranus inspires Venus to radical new artistic and aesthetic work and the Grand Trine magnifies the creative potential. If you’re an artist, now’s the time to be innovative. If you do design work, open to the muses. In relationship the energy can be exciting but disconcerting. Uranus wants to move quickly, to electrify. It’s not so good for cleaning the house - which ultimately we all must do. In intimate relationships back off just a bit. Don’t push too hard and you might be surprised what might happen!

On the 2nd we start the week with the Moon in Virgo square Pluto in Sagittarius. There’s a tendency to want control in emotional relationships - with an obsessive streak underlying things. You’ll gain much more in emotional relationships by backing off just a moment and maintaining your perspective. With the strong Uranian energies we discussed for the week now’s not the time to be focused on controlling the world. Relax and let the muses lead you.

3 July: The Moon in Libra squares the Sun in Cancer. There’s always the possibility of emotional tension under this aspect, but the deeper meaning is  to unfold the work that you’re doing in a more public way. Open your work to others and begin to share it - to grow it together.

4 July: The Moon moves on to trine Neptune in Aquarius. If you’ve been following the flow this week now’s your opportunity to relax a bit, to open emotionally to inner visions, and to meditate. Be just a bit dreamy - but, as always with Neptune, avoid drugs and alcohol and stress excellent diet and exercise.

5 July: The Moon conjoins Jupiter and squares Saturn today. We’re all likely to feel the Jupiter/Saturn philosophy of life from experience in our emotional relationships today. It’s likely to be a push/pull as Jupiter wants to expand emotionally while Saturn wants to define and confine feelings.
Venus begins a trine to Neptune today, and this energy will increase at the week’s end. Venus/Neptune is relationship with the divine, and opens the possibility for inner growth, spiritual advancement, and esoteric art and music. The problem is that physical relationships are never divine ones, and the risk is that we may expect unrealistic things from our human lovers.

6 July: The Moon in Scorpio moves to form a T-Square with Mars and Neptune, adding emotional charge to the otherworldly attentions that Neptune awakens in us. Unclear situations may arise emotionally and you may not feel that you can figure out what’s going on. The strategy is to back off, maintain perspective, and go within. Now’s the time for inner growth, not worldly pursuits.

7 July: The Moon in Sagittarius trines Mercury and prepares for a powerful day tomorrow. Today, though, brings emotion and communication together in a positive, supportive way. Open to friends and lovers by restoring communications.

8 July:  The Moon forms two powerful configurations today. It forms a T-Square with Venus and Uranus, and a Mystic Rectangle with Venus, Mars, and Neptune. Together this powerhouse configuration should expand our relationships and open us to the muses. To gain optimum benefit don’t plan lots of stuff today; rather, take time for inner growth and for inspiration to strike. Expand your artistic work, and visit your inner landscape for a vision of the future.

CosmicExpress, week of 9-15 July 2006

Posted on Jul 9th, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom

We’re looking at the week beginning 9 July. The Moon is approaching the Full Moon in Capricorn. It’s time to begin wrapping up developments on new projects and to prepare to harvest your results. After the 10th when the Moon begins to wane shift your emphasis from new growth to reaping the benefits of your efforts.

Theme transits this week: Mercury is Retrograde all this week. It’s prime time to revisit old projects and wrap them up. Retrograde motion makes it easy to go back and finish the old. It’s probably not ideal to press forward with new projects until Mercury goes Direct on 29 July.

There are several planetary configurations that last most all week.

From the 10th on through week’s end Venus in Gemini opposes Pluto in Sagittarius, while Mars in Leo opposes Neptune in Aquarius. The planets forming the oppositions are trine and sextile each other, forming a Mystic Rectangle. A Mystic Rectangle helps to inspire inner growth and mystical or artistic experience. With Venus in the configuration, art comes to the fore. Explore new artistic work or embrace your own artistic urges and put them in action. Venus opposed Pluto can heighten control issues in relationships - especially sexual ones. Drop the need to control and obsessions that may plague you and explore the art of relationship this week.

On the 9th we start the week with the Moon in Sagittarius conjunct Pluto. There’s a tendency to want control in emotional relationships - with an obsessive streak underlying things. You’ll gain much more in emotional relationships by backing off just a moment and maintaining your perspective. With the strong Plutonian energies we discussed for the week now’s not the time to be focused on controlling the world.

10 July: The Moon in Capricorn is Full today. There’s always the possibility of emotional tension under this aspect, but the deeper meaning is  to shift to harvesting the efforts you began two weeks ago when the Moon was New.

11 July: The Moon moves to oppose Mercury in Cancer. Your communications with others can take on a stronger feeling tone today. There’s a tendency to convey overly negative or stressful messages; make sure that you’re sending the right signals.

12 July
: The Moon forms a T-Square with Jupiter and squares Saturn today. We’re all likely to feel the Jupiter/Saturn philosophy of life from experience in our emotional relationships today. It’s likely to be a push/pull as Jupiter wants to expand emotionally while Saturn wants to define and confine feelings.

13 July
: The Moon in Aquarius joins forces with the planets in the Mystic Rectangle that we discussed at the beginning of this podcast. This heightens the emotional energy in relationships and in artistic work. Embrace the moment and spend some time with your partner or special friends - or in artistic pursuits.

14 July
: The Moon in Sagittarius conjuncts Uranus in Pisces. The emphasis shifts from the flowing feelings of Neptune to the electrifying jolts of Uranus. Emotional matters may shift quickly today; prepare to enjoy the ride. A trine of both planets to Jupiter makes this a more pleasant, expansive time. Take a risk; enjoy yourself.

15 July:  The week ends with the Moon forming  a T-square with Venus and Pluto. The Mystic Rectangle begins to fall off in energy, so this T-Square is likely to feel a bit stressful. Venus and Pluto want intense emotional and passionate contact, but they’re prone to obsessions and control issues. Working with art can lead to profound insights. A trine to the Sun and Mercury helps direct some of this powerful feeling energy into good communications. Spend time with partners - just avoid being obsessive!

CosmicExpress, week of 15-22 July 2006

Posted on Jul 15th, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom

We’re looking at the week beginning 16 July. The Moon is approaching the Third Quarter in Aries. It’s time to begin wrapping up developments on new projects and to prepare to harvest your results. After the 17th when this lunar cycle begins to wane toward the New Moon begin to release things that aren’t important to you any more. It’s time to clean house and prepare for the next lunar cycle.

Theme transits this week:

Mercury is Retrograde all this week. It’s prime time to revisit old projects and wrap them up. Retrograde motion makes it easy to go back and finish the old. It’s probably not ideal to press forward with new projects until Mercury goes Direct on 29 July. For most of the week we have a conjunction between Sun and Mercury in Cancer. This contact traditionally isn’t favorable for mental work because Mercury tends to get ‘burnt-out’ from the Sun’s energy. Especially considering that Mercury is Retrograde I’d plan to do a bit less mental work, watch for excessive mental stimulation, and avoid mental stress.

There are several planetary configurations that last most all week.

Venus sextiles Mars most of the week: this is the remnants of the Mystic Rectangle we experienced last week. Venus/Mars contacts always have sensual and sexual overtones and this energy should work smoothly and harmoniously this week. Explore new ways to interact with your partner, or, if you’re uncoupled right now, explore new artistic experiences.

On the 16th we start the week with the Moon in Aries trine Saturn. This starts the week off with feelings of emotional stability and constancy. Take a bit of a breather and relax.
We still have remnants of the Venus / Pluto opposition that we explored last week. Passion is in the air, but obsession is, too. Drop control trips with your partners. Explore the aesthetic.

17 July: The Moon in Aries forms the closing square to the Sun today. There’s always the possibility of emotional tension under this aspect, but the deeper meaning is  to shift to releasing those things that you no longer need as you prepare for the New Moon in about a week.

The Moon also forms a Grand Trine in Fire between Mars in Leo and Pluto in Sagittarius. This completes a Kite because Venus opposes Pluto as well today. Emotional intuition is strong right now. Explore art and design - and let your intuitions guide you in your approaches. It’s a excellent time for intimate relationships: drop your control trips and explore your intuitions by relating with your partner.

18 July: The Moon in Taurus moves to form a T-square with Jupiter and Saturn. After yesterday’s easy energies today may present the need to re-evaluate relationships. We’re all likely to feel the Jupiter/Saturn philosophy of life from experience in our emotional relationships today. It’s likely to be a push/pull as Jupiter wants to expand emotionally while Saturn wants to define and confine feelings.

The residual Venus / Pluto / Mars energy today should help to mitigate the feelings of constriction that Moon / Saturn sometimes creates. If you can, schedule a bit of down-time with your partner - and take it easy!

19 July: The Moon moves to sextile Sun and Mercury today - but it squares Neptune as well. We should feel some relief from the Jupiter/Saturn tensions we experienced yesterday, but there may be some emotional ambiguity left over. It’s a great day to take some time for inner work: meditation, yoga, and rest.

20 July: The Moon Taurus squares Mars in Leo today, adding emotional tension back to the mix. Avoid confrontations that start from hurt feelings: maintain perspective before you act.

21 July
: The Moon in Gemini squares Uranus and trines Neptune today. Yesterday’s emotional tensions should shift a bit, but expect the unexpected in your feelings today. Uranus can create lightning-quick changes that can be insightful or stressful. The trine to Neptune helps maintain perspective and adds a spiritual emphasis.

22 July
:  The week ends with the Moon conjoining Venus and forming a sextile with Mars. Today’s the day to kick back after the ebb-and-flow of the week. Plan some time with family and friends.

CosmicExpress, week of 23-29 July 2006

Posted on Jul 23rd, 2006 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom

We’re looking at the week beginning 23 July. The Moon is approaching the New Moon in Leo. After the 24th when the Moon is New we should begin shifting onto the new projects we want to accomplish in this lunar cycle. Because Mercury is Retrograde all week, though, it’s still prime time to revisit old projects and wrap them up. Retrograde motion makes it easy to go back and finish the old. I’d hold off on major new projects for this lunar cycle until Mercury goes Direct on 29 July.

Theme transits this week: There are several planetary configurations that last most all week. The first we’ve seen it for more than a month now: Jupiter in Scorpio square Saturn in Leo. Just like last week Saturn is now opposed Neptune in Aquarius as well. The  Jupiter/Saturn cycle has strong business and societal implications: we’re coming down to earth from being overly inflated. Jupiter/Saturn asks us to re-evaluate our relationship to our material possessions and our overall expectations about the world. It’s gaining a philosophy of life from experience. Experience may not be glamorous or exciting, but it’s vital to stay grounded.

Saturn opposed Neptune can be problematic. Saturn wants to create structure, to define the world. Neptune wants us to attain the transcendent. Combining these two we find ourselves groping for structure that we want and need but that we can’t quite grasp - or wanting to escape from stifling structure that we don’t need. Physically the energies are taxing to the body, so be sure to get great nutrition and plenty of rest.

On the 23rd we start the week with the Moon in Cancer along with Mercury and Venus. The Moon completes a Grand Trine in Water with Jupiter and Uranus. This starts the week with a more fluid, easy emotional energy and the possibility for some unexpected but enjoyable emotional experiences.

Venus starts the week by sextiling Mars - and continues through tomorrow. Venus/Mars contacts always have sensual and sexual overtones and this energy should work smoothly and harmoniously this week. Explore new ways to interact with your partner, or, if you’re uncoupled right now, explore new artistic experiences.

24 July: The Moon is New in Leo today, and forms a wide conjunction with Mercury as well. Leo energy moves us into the high point of summer’s energy which peaks in about two weeks when the Sun is at Fifteen degrees Leo. This lunar cycle in Leo is about creativity, bringing new things - new creative children - into the world and releasing them. The major issue is excessive egotism - and remember that we’re all feeling this. Keep your perspective in dealing with people.

Venus moves to trine Jupiter today, and this energy increases as the week goes on. Jupiter wants to expand Venus’s desire for relationship, social connection, and artistic work. Take a breather if you can and open new channels with your partner. This is probably the best way to deal with the problematic Saturn/Neptune energy we discussed earlier.

25 July: The Moon in Leo now moves to conjoin both the Sun and Saturn - giving extra emphasis to the Jupiter/Saturn/Neptune energies for the week. Expect some confusion emotionally - maybe some unclarity in relating to those around you - and remember that others may not fully understand you either. Expect some push/pull with the Jupiter energy wanting to expand emotional ties and Saturn restricting them. It’s not uncommon to feel a bit blue with this configuration; just remember that it only lasts about two days. You can rely on the Venus/Jupiter aspect to help buffer the more troublesome sides of this aspect.

26 July: The Moon continues to aspect Saturn today but the energies are on the downswing. Expect some continued emotional uncertainty and push/pull of expansion versus contraction.

The plus side is that Venus now completes a Grand Trine in Water today with Jupiter and Uranus, and this configuration lasts all week. It’s time to expand your social relationships - your partnerships with others. Don’t over look the power that art and aesthetic experiences have in your life either. This configuration is great for speculative moves and for sudden expansions: expect the unexpected with others and make the best of the opportunities.

27 July: The Moon moves on to conjoin Mars today. This can spark the emotions and cause sudden changes in feelings. Take advantage of this added energy in partnerships  and relationships - just don’t push too hard and create conflicts. Watch for temper flares, too.
For the rest of the week the Sun is moving closer to conjoin Saturn. I’d expect added demands on our personal energies - maybe issues with feelings of fatigue with the opposition to Neptune.

28 July: We get a boost today as the Moon forms a Kite with the Grand Trine in Water involving Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus. Emotions should get sudden stimulation from Uranus, but the support from Venus and Jupiter gives us the chance to expand relationships. We still have the Sun/Saturn energy in the background slowing us down, but this should provide a pick-me-up for the day.

29 July:  The week ends with the Moon squaring Pluto. Emotional energies that rose yesterday now take on a more passionate feel - with the risk of control issues coming to the fore.
