CosmicExpress, week of 3 March

Posted on Mar 3rd, 2007 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 4 March 2007. We start the week with the Moon immediately after Full on the 3rd. Begin to harvest the work you’ve accomplished during this lunar cycle. (I apologize for having missed the last two weeks; I've been traveling on business, and I'm glad to be back home and to have the chance to write.)

Theme transits this week: Jupiter continues to square Uranus all week. Jupiter continues to expand the cosmic roller-coaster, and provides the spark to expand into the new. The Sun conjoins Uranus throughout the week.

Sun / Uranus is dynamic energy, but it can produce too much physical tension and upset. It’s a bit like a lightning strike: you can get burned. Genius may appear suddenly with opportunities, but it’s of no benefit if you’re a nervous wreck. Sun / Jupiter is expansive and generous, and combined with Uranus, there’s the potential for real breakthrough. Make sure you give yourself enough time for centering and stability - Uranus wants to pull you in too many different directions.

Saturn continues to opposes Neptune for the next several weeks, and Mercury conjoins Neptune for the week. Saturn is cosmic structure, while Neptune is the cosmic solvent. Combined we’re trying to dissolve the very structure that we’re trying to build. Work to maintain health by positive nutrition, exercise, and meditation. Avoid alcohol and mood-altering drugs, and remember that medication may not work the way you expect. I think this is purification time - and it may echo into politics and business, too.

Fortunately for the entire week we have an unusual configuration: a Kite, consisting of a Grand Trine from Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn, where Venus and Jupiter sextile Neptune and Mercury. Venus and Jupiter soften the Saturn/Neptune opposition. Venus/Saturn is wisdom in relationship with others, while Jupiter/Saturn is successful work and gaining a philosophy of life from experience. Venus/Neptune is idealism in relationship and refined artistic work, while Jupiter/Neptune is high spiritual experience. And there’s Mercury in the mix, too. Mercury/Neptune is metaphysical thinking - or delusions.

The Kite presents us a real opportunity to ground our work successfully while simultaneously aspiring to spiritual truths. Relationships with others afford a way to grow, so choose those to invite into your life this week who can help expand your perspectives.

On the 4th the Moon squares Jupiter and opposes Uranus and the Sun - we’re just after the Full Moon. Emotions open up and the cosmic roller coaster gives us a ride. Aside from a little nervous tension, this can be an excellent time to reconnect with family and friends. The potential for accident is always present with Uranus aspects, so stay safe. The supporting trines from Venus and Saturn to Jupiter present continued opportunities, and I expect this to be a pretty good - and productive - time.

5 Mar:  The Moon moves on to square Pluto and trine Mars. As the day goes on, emotions shift to a more controlling, obsessive tone. Relax a bit; don’t put folks under your thumb - and keep away from power plays that others may want to run on you. Relationships can be dynamic and physically exciting.

6 Mar:  The Moon augments the Kite we explored above by creating a Mystic Rectangle and a second Kite by opposing Venus, sextiling Saturn, sextiling Jupiter, and trining Mercury and Neptune. This presents a highly auspicious opportunity for spiritual development, so take time for inner expansion and growth. Relationships can be profoundly beneficial now.

7 Mar: The Moon separates from the powerful configuration yesterday, but continues to trine Mercury and Neptune and sextiles Pluto. This should continue yesterday’s energy at a lesser level. Turn your emphasis a bit inward and explore meditative states.

8 Mar: The Moon squares Mars today and sextiles Uranus. Emotions can run a bit high, and tempers may flare, but it looks like nothing too serious.

9 Mar: The Moon forms a T-Square with Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune today. Moon / Neptune wants emotional contact with the divine, while Saturn asks the Moon to define its emotions. Expect a fair amount of communication confusion. This is a physically challenging aspect, so take special care to support your body with diet, gentle exercise, and plenty of rest. Fortunately the week-long Kite continues in force, and there’s a trine from the Moon to the Sun and to Uranus. The pressure may create the opportunity to break through limitations and resistances and open us to new opportunities.

10 Mar: It’s an easy day with the Moon sextile Mars, which warms us emotionally. Plan to spend some time inwardly in meditation and the rest of the time with those you love.

CosmicExpress, week of 11 March

Posted on Mar 12th, 2007 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 11 March 2007. We start the week with the Moon at the Third Quarter. It’s now time to release everything that you no longer need in preparation for the next lunar cycle.

Theme transits this week: Jupiter continues to square Uranus all week. Jupiter continues to expand the cosmic roller-coaster, and provides the spark to expand into the new.

Saturn continues to opposes Neptune for the next several weeks, and Mercury conjoins Neptune for the first part of the week.

The Kite that we enjoyed all last week ends by 14 March. This configuration consists of a Grand Trine from Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn, where Venus and Jupiter sextile Neptune and Mercury.

And remember that the configuration loses potency by mid-week, so do your work early!

On the 11th the Moon squares the Sun and Uranus and conjoins Jupiter - we’re right at the Third Quarter.

12 Mar: The Moon moves on to conjoin Pluto. As the day goes on, emotions shift to a more controlling, obsessive tone. Relax a bit; don’t put folks under your thumb - and keep away from power plays that others may want to run on you. Relationships can be dynamic and physically exciting.

13 Mar: The Moon sextiles the Sun and Uranus today - and we’ll feel this easy configuration into tomorrow. Emotions warm today. A bit of the cosmic jester injects a note of excitement and fun. Relax a bit and take it easy.

14 Mar: The Moon squares Venus today while keeping the sextile to the Sun we felt yesterday. The drive to connect with others and to explore art comes to the fore today: see how the aesthetic can enrich your life.

The rest of the week we’ll feel a square from the Sun to Pluto - always a contact of power plays, political games, and compulsive behavior. If you have a set goal, now’s the time to pursue it intensely. But stay aware of political ploys and power grabs - and stay aware of your own tendency to exert control over other.

15 Mar: The Moon conjoins Mars today and prepares for a conjunction with Neptune and opposition to Saturn tomorrow. Emotions can run a bit high, and tempers may flare. Keep in mind the Sun / Pluto square will intensify power games - keep your perspective.

16 Mar: The Moon conjoins Neptune and opposes Saturn today. Moon / Neptune wants emotional contact with the divine, while Saturn asks the Moon to define its emotions. Expect a fair amount of communication confusion. This is a physically challenging aspect, so take special care to support your body with diet, gentle exercise, and plenty of rest. The supportive trine to Jupiter helps us keep balance. The pressure may create the opportunity to break through limitations and resistances and open us to new opportunities.

17 Mar: It’s an easy day with the Moon past the conjunction with Mercury and preparing for the New Moon. It’s time to release those things you no longer need that you’ve been holding onto during the past lunar cycle. Prepare for the new, and take a little down time.

CosmicExpress, week of 18 March

Posted on Mar 18th, 2007 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 18 March 2007. We start the week with the New Moon and partial Solar Eclipse. Now’s the time to kick off those projects you want to pursue in the next lunar cycle.

Theme transits this week: Jupiter continues to square Uranus all week. Jupiter continues to expand the cosmic roller-coaster, and provides the spark to expand into the new.

Saturn continues to opposes Neptune for the next several weeks, and Mars conjoins Neptune too.

Mars/Saturn is hard work and wanting to escape from structure. Mars/Neptune is energy devoted to spiritual development - or to tearing down physical structure. The combination’s tough and can be physically debilitating. I expect this feeling of unease to extend into more mundane issues, like business affairs, too. This aspect goes exact on 25 March, after which I expect its influence will wane rather quickly. Until then, make sure you support your health.

Fortunately Jupiter continues to trine Saturn and to sextile Mars and Neptune all week. This provides an opportunity for growth in spiritual and philosophical pursuits. As much as possible, turn your emphasis from external affairs to concentrate on your own internal growth.

For most of the week Mercury sextiles both Venus and Pluto, and Venus trines Pluto until week’s end. This is a favorable break from the challenges I’ve discussed above. The arts - especially literature and theater - are highlighted. Spend some time exploring how art can enrich your life this week.

Finally, the Sun squares Pluto most all week. This is an aspect of intense physical energy and of political power. The danger is for control games to spiral out of control, and for an overbearing attitude to cause friction with others. It’s also a time for intense drive: focus on your important goals, but keep in mind it doesn’t do anyone good to run over other people to attain them.

On the 18th we start the week as the Moon approaches New - and a partial eclipse visible in some parts of Asia. Sun / Moon/ Uranus are all square Jupiter, which supports expansion of thought and feeling. The Uranus angle adds emotional tension - but also the possibility of significant new insights. Keep your cool because Moon/Uranus can be upsetting emotionally, and look for new ways to relate to those you love. Finally, the Pluto square adds just a touch of obsessive emotion to the mix. Keep your perspective.

19 Mar: The Moon moves away from major aspects. This should be a breather day.

20 Mar: The Moon forms a powerful and positive Kite today. The Moon forms a Grand Trine with Saturn and Jupiter, and sextiles the Mars/Neptune conjunction. This is the best day to use the energies I described in the theme transit area to expand your understanding. Take time for inner pursuits and meditation, and explore the insights you’ll gain.

21 Mar: The Moon conjoins Venus today while keeping the sextile to Mercury and the trine to Pluto. The drive to connect with others and to explore art comes to the fore today: see how the aesthetic can enrich your life.

22 Mar: Here’s the high point of tension for the week. The Moon forms a T-Square with Saturn and Mars/Neptune. It’s a high stress time emotionally for everyone. Tempers may flare. Keep in mind the Sun / Pluto square will intensify power games - keep your perspective.

23 Mar: After yesterday the minor square between the Moon and Mercury is easy to contend with. Communicate with those you love, and don’t let your feelings get in the way of communicating clearly in business settings.

24 Mar: We end the week with a profoundly spiritual aspect: a Mystic Rectangle formed with the opposition of Moon and Jupiter sextile and trine the Saturn / Mars / Neptune opposition. As I mentioned for the 20th, this is a great time to take a breather and to explore inward realities. Do some meditation, some yoga, tai chi, or other centering discipline. And take your partner along!

CosmicExpress, week of 25 March

Posted on Mar 25th, 2007 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 25 March 2007. We start the week with the First Quarter. Intensify your efforts to accomplish the work you’ve set out for this lunar cycle.

Theme transits this week: Jupiter continues to square Uranus all week. Jupiter continues to expand the cosmic roller-coaster, and provides the spark to expand into the new.

Saturn continues to opposes Neptune for the next several weeks.

Fortunately Jupiter continues to trine Saturn and to sextile Neptune all week. This provides an opportunity for growth in spiritual and philosophical pursuits. As much as possible, turn your emphasis from external affairs to concentrate on your own internal growth.

For most of the week Mercury sextiles Venus. This is a favorable break from the challenges I’ve discussed above. The arts - especially literature and theater - are highlighted. Spend some time exploring how art can enrich your life this week.

On the 25th we start the week as the Moon squares Sun (First Quarter) and opposes Pluto, forming a T-Square. Normally the First Quarter is a time to check in about the progress you are making toward your goals, but the Pluto energy adds just a touch of obsessive emotion to the mix. Keep your perspective. Avoid power plays, especially in your close relationships.

26 Mar: The Moon moves away from major aspects. This should be a breather day.

27 Mar: The Moon continues to be relatively free of aspects today. Don’t worry; the rest of the week is filled with fireworks!

28 Mar: The Moon conjoins Saturn, opposes Mars and Neptune, and squares Venus today. It’s a high energy time with contradictions from Moon/Mars wanting emotional energy, to Moon/Venus wanting relationship, to Moon/Saturn questioning relationship, to Moon/Neptune wanting relationships with the divine. The tendency is toward disillusionment, so counteract that with positive attitude and careful exercise and diet.

29 Mar: Yesterday’s energy continues today, Fortunately we have Moon trine Jupiter and Pluto, which opens emotions and helps us understand what’s going on under the surface. Keep your perspective for one more day!

30 Mar: After yesterday the Moon is clear again, but Venus moves into a T-Square with Saturn, Mars, and Neptune. This will last all week, and creates questions about our relationships - and opens us to mystical experience. The real risk is disillusionment and dissatisfaction, so keep your perspective. Meditation is great because of the Neptune influence.

31 Mar: We end the week with another high energy T-Square: Moon, Jupiter and Mercury. This is excellent for communication with those you love. The only risk is the potential for misunderstanding or argument. This T-Square should help us deal with the Venus/Saturn/Neptune T-Square that’s still hanging around creating uncertainty and disillusionment around relationship. My advice: take it easy and open to friends and lovers.
