CosmicExpress, week of 4 February

Posted on Feb 3rd, 2008 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 3 February 2008. The Moon is New on the 6th. Up to that point, continue to release those things that are of no importance to you for your upcoming work. Divination and inner work is particularly beneficial now. After the Moon is New, shift to launch your projects for the lunar cycle

Theme transits this week
: The Mars / Pluto configuration returns this week. As the week progresses we’ll also pick up a T-Square with Uranus. We’ll switch back to a more intense, obsessive work style. Uranus injects a powerful element of novelty You can make tremendous use of the intense energy, but take care not to ride roughshod over those around you. This contact can be tough on relationships, so keep your perspective. Avoid power plays and control issues.

Mercury continues retrograde for the next several weeks. Mercury retrograde is an excellent time to go back to complete old projects, to revisit decisions, and to work on less publicly visible things. It’s not a great time to launch into new work that demands intense mental effort or significant communication with others. Maintain care in negotiations and business communications during this time.

The Sun receives a trine from Mars all week. This is beneficial for physical health, vitality, and productive work - just the antidote to mid-winter blues.

The week’s net: Intense work energy rises again this week. Take care not to become involved in power struggles, but use the energy to burn through issues that have been plaguing you.

On the 3rd we start the week with the Moon conjoining Pluto, Jupiter, and Venus, and trining Saturn. These simultaneously warm and expand the emotions and stabilize them. Take a breather today, and enjoy your relationships.

4 Feb:  The Moon is quiet today.

5 Feb
: The Moon is again quiet today, forming no significant aspects.

6 Feb: The Moon is New today and conjoins Mercury and Neptune. This promotes communication about emotional issues, and may color thought with emotional concerns. The Neptune conjunction can create valuable insights and mystical experiences; it may also foster communication failures and wishful thinking. At the New Moon it’s time to launch into the projects that you want to focus on for this lunar cycle.

7 Feb: The Moon is quiet again today.

8 Feb:  The Moon opposes Saturn and approaches a conjunction with Uranus today. Moon and Saturn make uncomfortable bed-fellows: Saturn wants us to define our emotions. It constrains feelings and promotes depression. Moon and Uranus, on the other hand, want to escape convention and control. Strong mood swings may be an issue. A sextile to Jupiter helps to stabilize the energy.

9 Feb: The Moon closes the week in a powerhouse contact: the Moon forms a T-Square with Mars and Pluto. This is highly energetic and promotes emotional control issues. Be very cautious in communicating your feelings, and stay aware of power plays and emotional control games that others may exert.

CosmicExpress, week of 10 February

Posted on Feb 10th, 2008 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 10 February 2008. The Moon forms the First Quarter on the 13th. Reevaluate your work and make needed mid-course corrections at the First Quarter, and press forward!

Theme transits this week
:  The Mars / Pluto configuration continues this week, which sustains a more intense, obsessive work style. You can make tremendous use of the intense energy, but take care not to ride roughshod over those around you. This contact can be tough on relationships, so keep your perspective. Avoid power plays and control issues.

Mercury continues retrograde for the next week. This is an excellent time to go back to complete old projects, to revisit decisions, and to work on less publicly visible things. It’s not a great time to launch into new work that demands intense mental effort or significant communication with others. Maintain care in negotiations and business communications during this time.

The Sun conjoins Neptune all week. This can be problematic for physical health, endurance, and vitality. Fortunately the Sun continues to receive a trine from Mars, which partially offsets this bit of mid-winter blues. Get plenty of rest, good exercise, excellent nutrition, and avoid drugs and alcohol.

The week’s net: Intense work energy rises again this week. Take care not to become involved in power struggles, but use the energy to burn through issues that have been plaguing you.

On the 10th we start the week with the Moon squares Pluto and Jupiter. This vitalizes and strengthens emotional contacts. Take a breather today, and enjoy your relationships.

11 Feb:  The Moon squares Venus today and sextiles the Sun, Mars, and Neptune. This is highly favorable for relationships. Take time to renew your contact with those you love.

12 Feb: The Moon forms a Grand Trine with Saturn and Pluto - again, a highly favorable contact for emotional development and stability. This is a positive time for negotiation and business relationships.

13 Feb: The Moon forms the First Quarter today and squares Neptune. The Neptune square can create valuable insights and mystical experiences; it may also foster communication failures and wishful thinking. At the First Quarter it’s time to evaluate your progress on projects, to make mid-course corrections, and to push forward.

14 Feb: The Moon picks up a square to Saturn today - a bit of a downer for Valentine’s Day. It’s a good time to examine relationships, to make amends, and to commit to stabilize your emotional life. Resist the temptation for emotional blues, probably caused by unrealistic expectations and mis-communication.

15 Feb:  The Moon squares Uranus today. Moon and Uranus want to escape convention and control. Strong mood swings may be an issue.

16 Feb: The Moon closes the week conjoining Mars and opposing Pluto. This is highly energetic and promotes emotional control issues. Be very cautious in communicating your feelings, and stay aware of power plays and emotional control games that others may exert.

CosmicExpress, week of 17 February

Posted on Feb 17th, 2008 by Tom Sidebottom : Concrescence Enabler Tom Sidebottom
We’re looking at the week beginning 17 February 2008. The Moon is Full on the 20th. Up to that point, focus your energies on expanding projects and pushing forward. After the Moon is Full, begin to harvest the results of your work so far during this lunar cycle.

By mid-week the Sun opposes Saturn. This contact is always challenging physically, as it imposes external demands on us that may be debilitating. It’s vital to get plenty of rest and excellent nutrition during this period. Prepare for hard work. Saturn’s harvest is real reward in return for honest, diligent effort, so keep up your efforts. A trine from Pluto to Saturn and a sextile to the Sun helps provide an energetic boost.

Mercury turns direct on the 18th. This presents a more favorable environment for business communications and for new projects.

The week’s net: Intense work energy rises again this week. Take care not to become involved in power struggles, but use the energy to burn through issues that have been plaguing you. Prepare for hard work and pace yourself to avoid exhaustion.

On the 17th we start the week with the Moon opposing Jupiter. This expands emotional contacts. Enjoy contact with those your love, but avoid excessive consumption.

18 Feb:  The Moon opposes Venus today. This is highly favorable for relationships. Take time to renew your contact with those you love.

19 Feb: The Moon opposes Mercury today, accenting communication. Emotions may well up and affect your thinking; conversely it may be a good time to talk about emotional matters with those close to you.

20 Feb: The Moon is Full today and forms a dramatic configuration. The Moon conjoins Saturn, and these two oppose the Sun and Neptune. This formidable configuration would normally be very difficult. We have, however, the Mars / Pluto opposition forming a Mystic Rectangle. The Mystic Rectangle is highly beneficial for insight and inner growth. Moon and Saturn can be emotionally depressive and constricted, while the Neptune adds difficulty communicating. The Mystic Rectangle should blunt the negative aspects of these contacts, and open us to breaking through emotional blocks and negative thinking. We’re likely to confront some hard things today, but stay open to real benefits emerging from these struggles.

21 Feb: The Moon separates from Saturn today and trines Jupiter. This should provide needed rest, relaxation, and recovery after yesterday’s intensity.

22 Feb:  The Moon opposes Uranus and squares Mars and Pluto today. Strong mood swings may be an issue. Watch out for needless argument and the tendency to become involved in power struggles with others.

23 Feb: The Moon closes the week continuing to square Pluto, but also trining Mercury and Venus. This is highly energetic and promotes emotional control issues. Stay aware of power plays and emotional control games that others may exert. The upside is that this is the time to communicate with those you love: emotional support enhances your efforts to relate to partners.
